Latest WPL Points Table 2024: Mumbai Indians reclaimed the top spot displacing Delhi Capitals after a sounding victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ninth match of the Women’s Premier League. Everything went Mumbai Indians’ way the last night. They won the toss and won each and every battle against RCB right from the first innings. MI were missing in form regular skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and star bowler Shabnim Ismail but they were truly overpowered against RCB.
RCB vs MI Match Review
Winning the toss, MI opted to chase the target. Mumbai Indians held Royal Challengers Bangalore on the check and didn’t allow them to find easy runs which eventually resulted in quick wickets in a short period. MI were able to dismiss four top players at the score of 42 runs.
Ellyse Perry and Georgia Wareham played valuable innings in the middle and led RCB to at least a competitive score of 131 in 20 overs.
Mumbai Indians got off to a flying starting and lost the first wicket after 45 runs in the 4th over. Later, Amelia Kerr and Nat-Sciver Brunt played quick innings to lead Mumbai Indians home with seven wickets in hand. Mumbai chased down the target with around five overs to spear.

Delhi Capitals are now second in the list. They have played three matches and won two and they have the best NRR in the table. Royal Challengers Bangalore are now the fourth team in the table. This big loss have cost them a big deficit in the NRR and now they have a net run rate of -0.015.
